The apartment is in the smaller building of the stately residence "Les Miradors" Which includes a lovely park (2 ha.) And swimming pool (18 x 7 m, depth 60-200 cm) with a terrace. It is located above the city Menton, in a quiet, sunny area called "Garvan", 600 m from the sea. Garvan is known for its lovely gardens and parks, Including. Of olive tree park (Le parc du Pian) Directly across the residence So close by is the amazing Jardin botanique exotique de Menton (11,000 m²)
Within walking distance (600 meters) is the seaside (10 min down a walking path), shingle (10min) and sandy beaches (15 min), a larger grocery shop (10 minutes, 600 meters), restaurants and town (15-20min ) - Including the lovely covered market (All which is open every day, Including Sunday !!). The train station "Garvan" is a 14 min walk (1,0 km) or a short bus ride away. There are Several walking pathes leading to the restaurants, beaches, and town. Our favorites include walking through the olive tree plantation / park, or down a path and then along the seaside, or walking though the historical part of Menton. One can of course drive with your car, but there is alot to be said for the more active combination of - for example - walking down to the market, then buying lovely vegatables, fruits, fish, meat, bread and pasteries (or going to a nice restaurant) and then walking back to the apartment. And, after sightseeing in Nice, Italy, Monaco etc - love especially on hot days crowed trafficy - its a real pleasure to return and have a dip in the pool and relax on the terrace.
