Positive: Location Spaciousness Cleanliness Has promise - when all the works are complete it could be a very high rating facility

Negative: We expected the property to be part of an hotel not an Airbnb (the name of the property “Hotel de Croix” implies to us a hotel with attendant facilities). We believe Booking.com should make this clear in the description of the accommodation facility. We were advised that there would be free private parking close to the “hotel”. However, there was no parking available anywhere near the hotel so we had to park in the nearest public car park approximately 1 kilometre away and we had to pay for the parking. We acknowledge that the availability of suitable parking was exacerbated by the presence of a carnival occupying a number of the public car parks but were were not advised of this situation before arriving in Morlaix. When we entered the apartment building from the street we found that the locking system on the front and back doors did not work so the apartment was effectively open to the public. We found this lack of security to be very disconcerting. The foyer area in the building was in poor condition and is in need of renewal On entering the apartment we found that the refrigerator in the kitchen was not working and evidently had defrosted causing there to be casual water on the kitchen floor that we had to mop up. We also found that the renovations that had been undertaken in the kitchen were incomplete resulting in the only working lights in the kitchen were those in the range hood. Apart from instructions for the television and wifi, no information was provided regarding other facilities, for example heating and waste disposal, and nothing about the city of Morlaix and its surrounds

Summary: Thie facility did not meet our expectations and was therefore disappointing.
