Summary: This is a Stylish, clean and well appointed apartment, accessed by a small lift and with lovely small balcony. Bedrooms are small ( ie beds fill rooms and not the most comfortable in our opinion) but ok for sleeping; there is a good modern, compact shower room, well appointed kitchen areas, comfortable lounge area and great blinds at the front of apartment. It is a short walk for a able bodied persons to main areas and train stations. Lille is an attractive and compact city plenty to see and do and good food. The one thing that really let the apartment and the stay down was the disappointing contact of the host once we had paid which led us to wonder if they are new to hosting and renting out their apartment ( there are no reviews for example). So we offer the following comments which we hope will not be seen as overly critical but rather as suggestions on how for visitors the stay might be made better.( these are based on the kind of information and contact we are use to receiving from extensive experience of other home and away rentals including in Lille) Firstly, the information about the full addresss and how to access the property took sometime to get...despite us emailing host in advance we only received details following us phoning on arriving in Lille ( that said we were allowed to drop off our bag 2 hours early and we appreciated that). Secondly, hardly any information about the apartment was available at the property e.g. what to do with rubbish other that put in kitchen bin and the information for the WiFi was a hand written password that was difficult to read and so we did not access the WiFi at all . Thirdly, during our stay we contacted the host because we wanted them to be aware that we had received many insect bites during the night and had to buy repellent ...obviously in the summer this can happen but as we received these only when we were in the apartment we felt the host would want to know for future guests ....we have yet to receive to reply to this.
